Community Food Resources
Supporting Families Through SNAP Benefit Changes

At Columbia Housing, we believe no one in our community should go hungry. We know that the recent reduction in SNAP benefits may create added stress for families already working hard to stay afloat. Our goal is to ensure that every resident has access to healthy, affordable food during this transition and beyond.

We've compiled a list of local organizations offering free groceries, meals, and food distribution services throughout Columbia and Richland County. These programs are open to the public and ready to assist individuals and families in need.

How to Get Help

  • Review the list of community food resources below.
  • Bring a photo ID and proof of residency if requested.
  • Call ahead or check each organization's website for current hours and requirements.

If you're unsure where to start, our Resident Services team can help connect you to food programs that meet your needs.

If you are aware of additional community resources that are not listed below, please email SVP of Communications Cynthia Hardy at chardy@columbiahousingsc.org.
