Columbia Housing Authority Developments (CHAD) is a 501 c3 nonprofit affiliate of the Columbia Housing Authority. CHAD was founded to assist Columbia Housing in providing housing to low-to-moderate income families throughout the City of Columbia, Richland County and the surrounding areas.

The primary purpose of CHAD is to supplement the development of quality affordable Housing for Columbia Housing. CHAD is frequently the instrument used to create programs outside of the traditional Department of Housing and Urban Development programs.

The South Carolina Affordable Housing Initiative (SCAHI) is a 501 c3 nonprofit affiliate of Columbia Housing Authority.  SCAHI was founded to assist Columbia Housing with the development and operation of housing for low or very low income residents throughout the City of Columbia, Richland Counties and surrounding areas.
