Positive COVID-19 Case at Columbia Housing's Marion Street Highrise

Level III Protocols Implemented

Columbia, SC---On August 1, 2020, Columbia Housing became aware of a resident at its Marion Street Highrise who tested positive for COVID-19. All residents were immediately notified via this notice which was distributed early afternoon on August 1, 2020.

Columbia Housing has implemented its Level III protocols--which include recommendations to shelter-in-place--and is working closely with the SC Department of Health & Environmental Control for further guidance.

Also, Columbia Housing is cleaning and sanitizing areas of high traffic (entrance and exit, elevator area, etc.) and continuing to encourage residents to self-monitor for symptoms. Residents are encouraged, though not required, to report to their property manager if they test positive for COVID-19 to allow Columbia Housing to take the necessary steps to protect residents, staff, and essential visitors.

Common areas at all properties remain closed and visitor restrictions remain in place.
